 If you have a popcorn ceiling, you should be familiar with how unappealing and outdated they are.
Most have gathered dust and dirt over time and are eyesores now.

During the 1930s to 1990s, popcorn ceilings were all the rage. Every homeowner wanted it because of the much-talked-about advantages they had.

One of the benefits of having a popcorn ceiling is its acoustic nature, and that is, it reduces the level of sound and noise.
Also, most have asbestos being included in them.
 Asbestos has been included in ceiling making because of its strength and ability to resist heat.

But problems arise when there are damages or when the popcorn ceiling is removed. The fibers in the asbestos can be harmful when inhaled.
Studies have shown how harmful asbestos could be to our health, and it was later on banned in the U.S.

But there are still a lot of homes that still have popcorn ceilings, and some have harmful asbestos in them.

You don't have to panic. It is effortless, and you can do it yourself to save money.

When I bought my house, the ceiling was awful, and it had gathered a lot of dust and was an eyesore for my wife. and I.

POPCORN CEILING REMOVING TOOLS

Before you start anything, here is a list of all you need to get the job done.


1. Pop eeze popcorn ceiling scraper

2. A garden sprayer

3. safety glass
4. An industrial nose mask

Remember to get other necessary attachment units too.


HOW TO REMOVE POPCORN CEILING

First, fill the garden spray machine with plain water to spray the ceiling.

Spray 5 feet square of the ceiling, waiting for some minutes for the water to absorb the roof.

Connect your vacuum cleaner to the pop eeze ceiling scraper.

Wear your safety glass and a nose mask.

Put on the vacuum cleaner and start scraping the area you have sprayed with water. Repeat the process until you remove the popcorn texture from the ceiling.
