HOW TO KNOW YOUR LONG DISTANCE BOYFRIEND IS AFTER YOUR MONEY 2024

What does it mean when my long-distance boyfriend asks for money.

Being in love is a good feeling.

The feeling and joy you might get from it could be so satisfying that we get blind to see clearly when things are going in ways that we should be alarmed.

Numerous long-distance relationships are genuine and doing well. It is not surprising that many couples get married just through long-distance relationships.

But, some people go into long-distance relationships purposely to earn money or as a business.

What does it mean when my long-distance boyfriend asks for money.

If he continuously asks for money whenever you communicate, you should know he is simply interested in your money.

There are many possible reasons he is asking you for money, but to know you are being scammed, you must look for some signs, which I will disclose in the article.

How to know if my long-distance boyfriend is a scammer.

There are numerous tactics that online scammers use to get your attention. These people usually use pictures of people they are pretending to be.

Many of these scammers pose to be doing excellent jobs like soldiers, peacekeepers, contractors, medical doctors, etc. They put themselves in a romantic position purposely as bait to lure women, especially widows or divorced women.

They start asking for favors with excuses, like their child is sick back home. Because they are far away from home, they want you to help them by sending them money to cater for their child or their child is celebrating their birthday, and they want some financial support because where they are at the moment, there is no way they can send money back home.

Some also ask for money to buy plane tickets, medicine, gift cards, etc.

All the money they ask for is solely meant for them because all the excuses are lies and nothing more.

These kinds of stories they give will definitely work on you if you are genuinely in love with them.

Long-distance relationships or scams are becoming more and more popular of late because, to the scammers, it is a multi-million dollar business to them.

According to an FBI report in 2017, they received over 14,000 words on romance scams.
That figure is just for those that reported their cases. Thousands more have been scammed by these long-distance relationship fraudsters but have not been recorded.

Why does my long-distance boyfriend keep asking me for money?

To answer the why over 60% of these guys are businessmen and are just in to scam you.

I mean, just think about it. Why will a medical doctor who earns a lot of money ask you for money for a petty reason?

If you sit down to think about it, you will definitely sense something fishy.
There is no reason that a peace-keeping soldier will be stranded or need money to travel back home.

The military is there to take care of all these expenses, and Secondly, they are paid just too well for them to be financially broke.

How to know your long-distance boyfriend is a fraudster.

1. Video chat him

Because video chat works in any region of the world, ask for a video chat when conversing with your long-distance boyfriend.

However, if he keeps giving you excuses about problems with his phone camera or computer camera, that should raise a red flag.

2. He asks for money

When he requests money, be cautious.

Money should never be a factor when you're in a relationship with someone you hardly know or have yet to meet.

If he keeps asking you for money, know that he isn't interested in you and is only interested in your money.

To them, you are just a client or a business, as they put it.

Keep an eye out for him, and if you notice him bringing up money difficulties in whatever conversation you're having, walk away.

3. He doesn't want to meet you

Try to meet your long-distance boyfriend as soon as possible so you can get to know him better.

Knowing people and having talks with them will reveal whether or not your LDR partner is genuinely in love with you. As a result, it is critical to request a face-to-face meeting.

When he asks for money to come over, don't send it.

Try to meet him instead if he says he doesn't have the money to come over.

So, if he's making reasons to meet you, be aware that he could be a con artist.

4. He keeps pushing too fast

If he appears to be in a hurry to make you fall in love with him, or if he continues complimenting you with phrases like "you are so gorgeous," "you are great," "you are my ideal lady," or "this is the woman I want to marry," you should be concerned. That does not rule out the possibility that he is a con artist who will ask you for money at some point.

5. He tries to avoid your questions

You should be concerned if he tries to avoid answering your inquiries about where he lives, what he does, or personal matters, or if he offers you ambiguous answers.

Another sign that he is a fraudster is when he avoids answering questions you ask him but is very interested in learning more about you.

6. He pampers you a lot

Scammers are very good at what they do because they know precisely what ladies desire, which is love and attention, and they will offer it to you in full.

Because the fraudsters' main targets are widows or divorced women who miss the love and attention they used to have, they would do anything to obtain you.

You should be concerned if you discover he pampers you excessively even though he is still yet to meet you.

7. Inconsistent stories

This should be another red flag when you notice that he always has a story to tell when you ask a detailed question.

It's possible he's not who he claims to be if his stories don't add up.

You should be able to tell where you're going after you see contradictions in his stories.

8. They have no digital footprints

It is impossible to exist without having a digital presence in this day and age.

If you conduct a fast internet search for his name, you may have noticed that the results are empty.

If you can't locate any information on him online, you're definitely in a relationship with a con artist, and you should leave right away.

Conclusion

When looking for love online, be cautious because many con artists are looking to exploit and deceive you.

Being a victim of these scams and realizing you've invested all of your time and energy for nothing is a horrible experience. However, there are steps you can take right now to protect yourself and prevent this from occurring to you or a friend in the future.

The advice in this article should help you avoid falling into similar pitfalls.
